About the Event
This workshop is designed to build the fundamental knowledge and considerations in taking children out of your centre to local parks, wildspaces or bushland.Â
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn about the benefits of nature-based curriculum and outdoor education
- Map your values and beliefs about why you want to leave your centre and how you want to connect it to your existing program
- Analyse examples of risk assessment and compare risk with hazard
- Discuss the benefits of risk taking and learn how to use this as an advocacy tool with famileis and the regulator
- See new ways of documenting your journey
