About the Event
This wonderful day outdoors sets to inspire, educate and reduce fear about allowing children to take physical and emotional risks in their play. Teachers will experience the feelings of risk first hand by going on a bush walk (medium level), cooking using fire and tools and doing rope-work to then talk about: the difference between hazard and risk, risk assessments and their practical and political application, planning for risk, freedom v's freefor-all and our values around being outdoors and educating children.
